Privacy Policy

Fold does not operate a service that collects your reading library or sell your reading data.

Fold does not require an account. It does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or a Fold-operated backend service.

Your feeds, articles, read state, starred articles, mute rules, and settings are stored locally on your device. Backups contain articles, feeds, and mute rules, including read/starred choices; preferences and reading history/positions are not included. When Fold refreshes feeds or fetches article content, it connects directly to publishers and their media hosts. These services receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and may apply their own privacy policies. Images and favicons can generate additional requests.

Exported files are created only when you request them and are shared using the standard iOS share sheet — the destination you select determines where a copy is stored. Publisher scripts are disabled in the reader; opening an original article uses your browser and the publisher’s policies.
